Bought originally in 1956, we have encouraged the native hardwood forest recovery with a forest management plan approved by the Virginia Department of Forestry. Approximately 175 acres border the Shenandoah Skyline Drive, and is a mixture of hardwoods.  There is a pre-Civil War log cabin that is currently used by a hunt club who maintain the trails and borders.
